The design office
Made-to-measure design
The design office is an essential stage in the manufacturing process at Atelier SL.
Costing and dimensioning :
We begin by estimating the costs of the project based on the technical specifications, materials and working time required. We then take measurements on site, a key stage that involves taking measurements directly on the installation site to ensure that the future structure is perfectly integrated. To do this, we use state-of-the-art 3D scanning tools such as the Leica RTC 360 scanning station and the Leica Disto 3D.
From freehand drawing to manufacturing plans :
Once the technical data has been collected, we produce a freehand drawing to give an initial visual impression. This sketch then evolves into a 3D computer design, where the project takes shape in precise detail. At this stage, a blueprint and 3D renderings are created and submitted to the customer for approval. This allows us to check that the technical and aesthetic aspects are in line with the customer's expectations before going into production.
For more complex projects, or at the customer's request, a prototype can be produced to test the technical aspects and make any necessary adjustments. Once the prototype has been validated, manufacturing plans are drawn up and used as a reference throughout production.
Personalised project management :
During the production phase, the management of orders and materials is carefully orchestrated to select the most appropriate materials and guarantee their availability. This involves rigorous anticipation of requirements to ensure optimum coordination with other trades.
At the same time, site monitoring is carried out to organise and supervise the installation of the works, ensuring that each phase is synchronised with the work of the other parties involved. The project manager ensures that each element fits perfectly into its environment, while complying with quality, safety and aesthetic standards. This meticulous process, based on forward planning and seamless coordination between the various trades, guarantees a tailor-made project of exceptional quality.
Technology :
We have a number of technologies at our disposal (3D laser measurement (cloud of points), CAO2D/3D, large-format plotter), enabling the development of the design office, which now employs 4 people.
These tradesmen have expertise and know-how in a variety of fields, including precision mechanics, fittings and artistic drawin
